Raiz Celebrates 90 Years with Exciting New Activations at Chalk the Block 2026
Chalk the Block, El Paso’s largest public arts festival, returns October 3–4, 2026, transforming the Downtown Arts District into a vibrant hub of creativity and community. Celebrating 19 years and attracting over 45,000 visitors, it offers a weekend of art in motion.
As the proud presenting sponsor since 2023, Raiz Federal Credit Union marks its 90th anniversary this year with exciting new activities and giveaways at its booth located on the corner of Mills and Oregon. Visitors can enjoy the debut of the Raiz Money Machine: an interactive attraction where adults (18+) have 30 seconds to grab as many Raiz-branded dollar bills as possible. The fastest hands in town will win one of 12 top prizes, including:
Family Fun Outing packages (La Nube, El Paso Rhinos, Flix Brewhouse)
$90 gift cards
$25 Gozos gift certificates
The Money Machine is a Saturday-only experience that adds an extra burst of excitement to the day as participants compete for top prizes.
Festival days are perfect for making memories, and this year, Raiz invites everyone to contribute to a living mural on the “What Are You Rooted In?” community wall. Here, attendees can share their stories, values, and hopes that help El Paso thrive, one voice at a time.
“As Chalk the Block brings vibrant art to downtown, Raiz is proud to mark its 90th anniversary alongside the artists and community members who make our city special,” said Alejandro Yu, Vice President of Marketing at Raiz Federal Credit Union. “We look forward to celebrating El Paso’s creative spirit and creating memorable experiences throughout the festival.”
With interactive activities at the Raiz booth, surprise giveaways on Sunday, and hands-on fun for all ages, the festival promises a weekend where art, music, and community come together.
Chalk the Block is free and open to the public in downtown El Paso, October 3–4, 2026. For a full schedule and festival highlights, visit www.chalktheblock.com. To learn more about Raiz Federal Credit Union, visit www.raiz.us.
