The anticipation built as the City of El Paso’s Museums & Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) announced the Title Sponsor and programming for the highly anticipated 18th Annual Chalk the Block Public Arts Festival! The event took place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, at the iconic San Jacinto Plaza and was a time brimming with anticipation as Raiz was announced as the Title Sponsor for the 2025 Chalk the Block festival!
About Chalk the Block
Since its inception in 2008 as a humble one-day chalk art competition, Chalk the Block has blossomed into the largest public arts festival in the El Paso region. With an impressive turnout of over 45,000 attendees and the participation of more than 200 artists each year, the festival serves as a dynamic platform for both locals and visitors to engage with the thriving El Paso arts community.
The free, family-friendly festival features a juried sidewalk chalk art competition, interactive art installations, live music, local art and food vendors, and hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy. This event not only showcases artistic talents but also fosters a sense of community and creativity for attendees of all ages.
