Since 1936 Raiz Federal Credit Union has been committed to supporting education in our community. That's why we are thrilled to announce the expansion of our scholarship and grant program to further support students, educators, and non-profit organizations in achieving their goals.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available to high school and college students pursuing various academic endeavors.

Grants

Region 19 education professionals are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $3,500 to attend a professional development conference training of their choice.

Local non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for a $25,000 community grant to help fund their efforts of creating a positive community impact.

Application Details

The application window is open annually during the Spring and Fall seasons.

Community grant applicants must be a certified 501(c)3 organization.

Scholarship and professional development grant applicants must be a Raiz member. Student applicants are required to submit a transcript to validate their application.

These scholarships are open to community members, Raiz team members, STEM students, and aspiring leaders in business and education.
Application Deadline: May 3, 2024.

Raiz Up Professional Development Grant

One teacher per Region 19 school district will be selected to receive a grant of up to $3,500 to attend a professional development conference or training of their choice.

Together We Raiz Grant

A $25,000 community grant for local non-profit organizations registered as a 501 (c) 3 to help fund their initiatives.
Application Deadline: July 3, 2024.

Top Scholarship & Grant Questions

  • Applicants are limited to applying for only one scholarship or grant per year. We encourage candidates to carefully review the scholarship criteria and select the one that best aligns with their academic and career goals. Please note that only the first application received will be considered if you have applied for multiple scholarships and/or grants. Applications submitted later within the same year will automatically be removed for consideration.

  • Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements, leadership qualities, community involvement, and a genuine commitment to pursuing education. The selection committee is particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate a positive impact on their community through their academic pursuits.

  • Raiz scholarships are open to a diverse range of applicants, including high school seniors enrolling in college, current college students pursuing a bachelor’s degree, individuals working towards a master’s degree, and those pursuing a Ph.D.

  • Yes, membership is required. Applicants who are awarded a scholarship will have their funds transferred to their specified Raiz checking account. If you wish to apply but are not currently a Raiz member, you can still take advantage of this opportunity! Within your application, specify that you are not a member, fill out the remaining form, and select submit. Our team will soon contact you to further assist you with opening an account.
